This virtual reality app requires the use of an Oculus Rift or HTC Vive, a mounted Leap Motion Controller (using the VR Developer Mount or unofficial alternative), and the Leap Motion Orion software.

Unlock new possibilities in your Orion project with Add-on Modules – powerful extensions built on top of our beta release of the Unity Core Assets for Orion. Learn more in our post Unity Core Assets 101: How to Start Building Your VR Project.

Attachments Module

Demo Video

The Attachments Module provides a special IHandModel that exposes several important transforms of the hands, like the palm, finger tips, and arm. This makes it easy to attach Unity game objects to a hand. The module also provides scripts for turning on and off attached game objects that are designed to work with detectors.

In the example scene you can light the candles with your index finger (while both your index finger and thumb extended) and pinch the wicks with your fingers to snuff them out.

Please note: the Orion Add-on Modules are dependent on our beta Unity Core Assets for Orion and will not function properly without them. Please visit our Unity assets page for additional details. Also check out the Detection Example!
