Interactive panels, placed relative to the camera or anywhere else.
Hoverboard is a user interface that places buttons onto three-dimensional planes. The interface provides virtual reality applications with support for complex controls and actions, all powered by simple, reliable movements and gestures.
The Hoverboard interface planes can be fixed in position relative to a camera (like a HUD), relative to an object (like a panel on the user's arm), or relative to the world (like buttons on a desk).
This package includes 3 versions of the Hoverboard Demo:
- Leap VR: Requires an Oculus Rift and a Rift-mounted Leap Motion Controller.
- Leap Only, Table Mount: Does not require an Oculus Rift. Place the Leap Motion Controller on the table in front of you as you normally would.
- Leap Only, Head Mount: Experience head mounted tracking without a Rift. Attach the Leap Motion Controller to a sweatband, on the brim of a hat, or an old pair of glasses.
Note: the "Leap Only" demos are experimental, and do not work as well as the VR demo.
